About the Position:

Under the direction of the District Traffic Safety Engineer (Senior Transportation Engineer), the District Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety Improvement Engineer performs pedestrian and bicyclist traffic safety investigations and prepares written responses to requests for investigation of safety or operational issues. This position is responsible for acting as a district subject matter expert on pedestrian and bicyclist safety and disseminating relevant information throughout the district functional units.
