Fire Accounting Specialist, Fiscal Analyst 1 (FA1)
After completion of a probationary period, this position may be considered for partial telework

Salary: $3,477.00 - $4,632.00 Monthly
Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze, interpret, and assemble documentation related to fire cost recoveries. Ensure all recoverable costs are accounted for in the recovery bill.
- Calculate and administer fire cost recovery billings.
- Prepare billing documents for other agency recovery billings.
- Process payments to contractors and cooperators who provide services on wildfires.
- Process payroll and benefits for region wildfire staff.
- Analyze expenditures for programs related to reacting to fire potential and seasonal suppression cost, identifying and correcting any discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting or a related field AND 1 year of professional experience in accounting or fiscal-related work.
OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. - 15 credit hours of college-level accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
- Experience with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting accounting and financial records and reports, as well as analyzing and correcting discrepancies.
- Experience effectively conveying ideas and information in writing using language that is appropriate to both the complexity of the topic and the knowledge and understanding of the reader.
