JOB SUMMARY

The Calista Corporation Internship program is only open to Calista Shareholders and Descendants who are currently enrolled in college or a vocational training program or who have graduated within the past year.

The Accounting Intern will learn how to provide support in maintaining project and general ledger accounts, assist in monitoring cost, funding, and revenue. The Accounting Intern may also learn how to prepare reports, general ledger reconciliations, and audit documents. This position is expected to last 10 - 12 weeks. Willing to accommodate full-time or part-time schedules.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform basic account reconciliations.
  • Enter accounts payable vouchers.
  • Assist with project accounting.
  • Perform account analysis.
  • Perform filing and other administrative tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of personal computer use, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage and prioritize several tasks.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule when necessary
  • Ability to work in a Native Corporation multi-business environment.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a college or vocational degree program.
  • Currently enrolled in Accounting/Finance degree program or courses preferred.
  • Must possess a GPA of at least 2.0 and be in good academic standing.
  • Ability to pass a background, drug, reference and credit check.
