911 Communications Specialist

The Communications Team supports KCSO’s mission by handling over 537,000 calls annually from unincorporated King County; twelve cities, Metro Transit Police, Sound Transit Police and King County Airport Police. Over half a million people rely on our communications specialists, dispatchers, and other personnel.
Salary starts at: $31.55 / hr.
Basic requirements for the role include:
- Current US citizenship or lawful permanent residency.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience providing a high level of customer service.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form using English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- The Communications Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays and weekends. Communications Specialists must be willing to work any shift or workweek, including overtime, as assigned.
