Workstation Storage Engineer

We are hiring a recent college graduate to join our Intelligent Devices Group as a Workstation Storage Engineer working with Commercial PCs (Workstation, Desktop, Notebook etc.). This role will be in Morrisville, NC. The target start date is Summer 2023.

Responsibilities:
·       Communicate to suppliers and Lenovo internal cross functional teams for all technical issues related to storage
·       Create test plans and test reports for storage qualifications
·       Collaborate with Senior Engineers to develop test procedures, write and maintain test tools/scripts
·       Work directly with suppliers & outsourcing vendors for qualification testing
·       Support defect analysis and problem resolution and help suppliers to resolve issues and review/approve fix plans
·       Perform pre-qualification testing, design review, and critical qualification tests
·       Support Workstation Product Development to enable emerging storage technologies
·       Manage Storage Engineering Laboratory and operations, including maintenance and audit readiness
·       Publish technical disclosures, white papers, and patents as appropriate
·       Report Qualification Status and create an organized presentation for technical details

Requirements:
·       Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
·       Debugging experience
·       Solid State Hard Drive testing
·       General knowledge of programming languages
·    Skilled in test and analysis methods (use of laboratory analysis equipment)
·  
Preferred:
·       Prior internship experience
·       Hands on project or group work
·       Experience working with personal computers
