Project Engineer
Description
This is a technical position in the Technology Department as part of the engineer career path process. The engineer career path is geared toward the individual contributor who wants to share responsibility for success with team members. This job is responsible for supporting applications and other technologies used for day-to-day railroad operations. This position is responsible for assisting with integration of new and existing technologies. They work closely with other teams and departments and are required to maintain and troubleshoot assigned areas within a project.
Accountabilities
- Estimate and manage projects for timely completion
- Provide ongoing systems assistance and support to quickly restore failures
- Problem-solve and fix issues to improve system reliability
- Communicate effectively with both customers and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- A Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in this field or will graduate by June 2023.
Preferred
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- 1 or more years of work experience in Technology
Physical Requirements
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee will spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
Work Conditions
- 18 years of age or older
