Engineering Technician II

Education: High School Diploma

Months/Years of Experience: Three (3) years

Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. A valid driver’s license. Must have or be able to acquire a security clearance and obtain an AMMO certification. Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and one (1) year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area. Ability to learn test set functions and lift at a minimum 50 pounds required. Must be able to read and understand standing operation procedures as written. Ability to understand basic engineering terminology and communicate effectively with others. Support overtime and travel on an occasional basis.

Skills Needed: Understanding of drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and specifications preferred.

Duties: Candidate will conduct missile and related component tests. Set up tests, collect data and assist with test reporting. Work as a team member in a collaborative effort, taking initiative at times when direction is implicit. Support senior engineers and technicians with the testing of missile systems. Additional duties may include general instrumentation installation, data acquisition system setup and operation. Prepare test items, adjust and operate equipment and record resulting test data, flagging deviations resulting from test item and / or test equipment failure. Expected to periodically participate in cross-functional training activities performing engineering technician tasks in support of other test program.

Desired Qualifications: Associates in electronics.
