Position Purpose
The main function of the Civil Engineer is to perform detailed, Civil engineering analysis, designs and calculations using standard methodology, principles
and other viable approaches, in power system sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Grading and drainage design and review.
- Perform Foundations design and review.
- Perform Driveway and drive area design and review.
- Perform Overall site plan and truck/trailer access, specific review of mobile access plans.
- Act as Civil engineering lead and advisor for all projects and the capital program.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment for all staff ensuring all company policies are being followed
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills to decipher unique technical and analytical problem.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to articulate highly technical concepts.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment including relevant output and incentive mechanisms.
- General knowledge of contract, commercial and regulatory awareness with the ability to balance effective and efficient customer requirements.
- Knowledge of industry Codes, Standards, and regulations.
- Knowledge of grading and drainage designs, foundation design, and driveway design.
- Firmly adheres to the values and ethics of Applus+. Exhibits honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology required.
- 7 years power system civil engineering experience, including projects highly desired.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems quickly and independently.
