Job Overview:
Spirent Positioning Technology designs, manufactures, and supplies advanced satellite navigation test and simulation systems, many of which comprise radio frequency signal generators and computer systems running complex application software; all designed in-house.
 
As a Professional Services Engineer, you will be responsible for the definition, development, and delivery of Professional Services mostly in the USA. The role will report directly to the Director of Professional Services and will have a close working relationship with peers in Sales, Global Services, and Business Development.
 
In addition, the role will be remote with occasional visits to Spirent's San Jose, CA office and customer site locations, particularly in the San Francisco Bay area, and as needed, other locations in the U.S.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Deliver custom-tailored Professional Service offerings through all phases of the service engagement (discovery, definition, development, delivery and debrief) while meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Collaborate with customers to determine testing and business requirements that can be translated into a statement of work and proposals.
  • Consult on the use of GNSS test strategies and methodologies, test tool usage, test plan development, and execution.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with industry test experts and Spirent personnel, including the Global Services team, Product Managers, Business Development, and Engineers.
  • Represent Spirent in customer-facing meetings.
  • Deliver on Professional Services Roadmap items.
  • Maintain technical proficiency of Spirent solutions, GNSS technologies, and testing techniques.
  • Collect field data when necessary to deliver on services.
 
Job Requirements:
·        Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field from an accredited university; or equivalent work-related experience
·        Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
·        Experience with PNT/GNSS technologies including test methodology and analysis skills preferred
·        Experience using GNSS simulation equipment and/or GNSS receivers is a plus
·        Experience using Ni™ Teststand or Labview is preferred
·        Scripting/Programming knowledge preferably with Python/C++ and MatLab is a plus
·        Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred
·        Ability to explain and present technical solutions and the benefits they provide
·        Experience with compiling technical reports
·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office
·        Detail-oriented with effective time management skills
·        Travel required about 25% domestic with one international trip annually
