Accounting Coordinator

Summary
The Accounting Coordinator will provide general accounting support to the firm’s Controller, Project Accountant and professional staff. As a member of the R&M team, the Accounting Coordinator will provide exemplary personalized service to the Accounting Group’s internal clients: the Engineering, Earth Sciences, Geomatics, Construction Services and Planning Departments within R&M. As a member of the Accounting Group, the successful applicant will not only work with other accounting professionals, but will also work inter-departmentally within the company to support accounting tasks. 

Role and Responsibilities
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible to manage, organize and accurately record a high volume of accounting data across multiple interfaces. Specific tasks may include Accounts Payable (sorting, collecting and processing approved vendor and subconsultant invoices, check and ACH payment processing), Cash Receipts (receiving and recording client payments, preparing bank deposits and reconciliations), Project Database Maintenance and Record Keeping (maintain contract, vendor, employee and project invoice files within the Deltek Vision database, and permanent files, as required), Expense Report Processing (review and process employee expense reports, review and reconcile monthly credit card expense reports, vehicle mileage records), Accounts Receivable (prepare and record monthly client invoices), and Other GL accounting and administrative-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or in progress in accounting or business-related program
