Position Overview
The Software Development Engineer contributes to building, maintaining and enhancing browser-based web applications for construction companies. This is an opportunity to join an existing agile development team where you’ll help to create new foundations and functionality for our software tools. Some of the main responsibilities of this position include: 
  • Working with software development, software support, and QA teams to perform product design, implementation, defect verification and correction on application software projects
  • Working directly with the Product Management team to implement product requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for improving software development methods and procedures 
  • Working within Scrum team environment to deliver on commitments within a bi-weekly release cadence, and participate in all agile ceremonies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant field  
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and ability to visualize complex processes to identify and analyze key issues and recommend quality solutions
  • Ability to read and understand code used in typical frameworks
  • Experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and writing and optimizing SQL queries
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Windows platform (server and workstation) and Google Suite applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as established team working skills 
    
Primary locations include Oregon, Washington State, and Colorado; positions may be eligible for remote work.
