System Engineer Intern
Responsibilities:
- Work with the design and development engineers to ensure the relevant subsystems are designed with appropriate requirements, interfaces and interactions to achieve specific functions.
- Break down new, high-level feature requests into sub-system and component level requirements
- Utilize critical analysis of potential failure modes and effects to derive the requirements
- Develop overall validation strategy for requirement and work with validation teamsÂ
- Work cross-functionally across mechanical, electrical, system architecture, development and validation teams to consolidate any new requirement
- Collaborate with validation teams to track the requirement and validate the functions, interfaces, and interactions of the system
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- BS degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
- Ability to fluently interpret customer requirement to a technical system requirement
- Familiar with battery management system (BMS) fundamentals
- Background in functional safety and safety analysis is a plus
- Experience with hardware in the loop (HIL) test is a plus
