The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer in the Cleanup Fund. The position is located at 801K Street, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations, other public transportation, awesome restaurants, and more.
 
Duties Include:
Under close supervision of a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Cleanup Fund Branch and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State Water Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments. Work cooperatively with and be responsive to staff within the Fund Branch, state and local agency representatives, claimants, grant applicants, consultants, and the public. Specific duties include:

Provide information to applicants and prospective applicants regarding the program requirements and opportunities for funding. Provide programmatic, regulatory, technical, and engineering consultation on investigation and remediation methods, project budgets, and schedules related to grant funding. Prepare written recommendations for project approval and funding for upper management.
