Land Surveyor
North 57 Land Surveying is looking for an experienced and efficient land surveyor who can confidently take a project from start to finish. Duties include working in the field and the office as a draftsman. Southeast Alaska is a rugged, but beautiful part of Alaska, more often than not using a RTK for topo or layout may not be an option so having experience using a total station, robotic or manual is very important.
List of Requirements
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD
- Able to use a Total Station robotic or manual. (Nikon/Sokkia/Topcon)
- Basic understanding of using RTK and Static GPS units. (Topcon)
- Must feel comfortable leading a field crew.
- Experience in conducting Boundary, As-built, and Topographic Surveys.
- Experience in Construction Layout and a wiliness to teach co-workers in this field.
- Willingness to travel at least once a month via. boat, helicopter, large jet, or small plane.
