Revenue Accountant

As a Revenue Accountant on the US Finance Sales Support team, you will act as a key finance contact for all contracts within assigned client base and ensure contract revenue complies with GAAP and how the terms, conditions, schedules within the contract affect the financials. Additional responsibilities include; determining appropriate revenue treatment for client contracts, oversee revenue billing backlog to ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition, reconcile client balances, and manage weekly projections and cash forecasts. Revenue Accountants will also manage client contract milestones by working with other Cerner associates to determine appropriate timelines to obtain completion documentation as well as assist with corporate statutory audit deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 4 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; or related field; or equivalent, relevant work experience
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)-AICPA
 
Expectations
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City or Malvern area
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
