We have a unique career opportunity for a Construction Representative to be a key member working on Construction projects and providing support to the growth of our Milwaukee, WI team. Ideal candidates will be recent college grads with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related curriculum. Working Construction Representatives are also encouraged to apply!
What you will do:
- Review and assure the project supervisor of the adequacy of the budget and schedule
- Perform construction observation of construction activities, including maintaining a field book following project procedures
- Perform measurements of construction work performed and quantity calculations of pay items
- Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and other project documentation as required by the project procedures and as directed by the project supervisor
- Report to the project supervisor on the progress of work, including technical issues, the status of work remaining to be done, and any noted deficiencies
- Comply with all project and company safety guidelines, reviewing plans, specifications, and submittals relating to assigned work.
- Provide design or other professional assistance to project managers as assigned
What you will need:
- BS in Civil or Construction Engineering or in a related engineering curriculum required.
- Experience working on field projects desired
- WisDOT experience preferred
- Experience utilizing ArcGIS, Microstation, and Geopak, and/or AutoCAD desirable
- Capabilities with Inroads and/or Autocad Civil 3D for generating quantities with topo data a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and ability to perform services efficiently and within budgets and schedules
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record
