Nuclear Safety Engineer (position #34705)

Job Duties/Scope Of Work

At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. As a Nuclear Safety Engineer, you will perform assigned activities to gain an understanding of the Nuclear Safety function. Activities will include co-authoring accident analysis calculations, co-authoring safety assessments, reading/review documented safety analyses, and participating in hazard analysis and control selection meetings. Work will involve gaining insight in solid waste management, spent fuel handling, and decommissioning and demolition, with the intention of ensuring safe operations.

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a closely related science degree or Professional Engineering (PE) License.

* US Citizen.

Desired Qualifications
* Previous experience as an engineering intern or Co-op.
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification desired but not required.
