Camp Takajo is a premier boys’ camp on a beautiful lake in Naples, Maine. We are seeking awesome, young individuals to serve as mentors, coaches, teachers, and role-models for our campers.
Camp Takajo is an overnight, summer camp in Maine. Situated on over 150 acres of flat, grassy playing fields, woodlands, and lakefront, Takajo's facility is top-notch. More important than a great facility, Takajo has a family-type atmosphere and is often described as being fun, spirited, warm and caring. Campers range in age from 7-15 and come from across the country. We send over 100 trips out of camp each summer and take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings in the nearby White Mountains National Forest. During outdoor adventure classes, campers learn basic outdoor skills. We have a 50-foot, four-sided climbing wall with challenging “problems” for climbers of all ages and abilities. We also have ropes course activities for team building exercises. Our staff are paid well and benefits include room, board, free internet access and travel allowance.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $300.00 per week

Above all else, our goal is to help boys grow into young men of strong moral character. We believe that boys need structure. Our programs are designed to be developmentally age appropriate. As boys get older, their program allows them increased choices so they can pursue their maturing interests and specialize in specific areas. We believe in a well-rounded, diverse program that includes sports, waterfront activities, hobbies, skills, and pioneering. We believe that athletics is an important component of a well-rounded experience, but it is not the sole focus our program, especially at the younger ages. We want our campers to gain exposure to a wide range of activities so there are many avenues through which a boy can find his niche at Camp Takajo.

Camp Takajo is situated in southern Maine, in the town of Naples, on Long Lake. Takajo is 35 miles from the Maine coastline with its many fine towns and beaches and the same distance from the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The surrounding countryside is characterized by beautiful lakes and evergreen forests.
