The Perot Museum strives to inspire minds through nature and science using a diversity of fun and exciting programming. The education department develops activities, experiments, and curriculum that can be enjoyed by all ages. This is accomplished by utilizing the outreach program called TECH Truck, Discovery Camps, birthday parties, and much more. The education intern will gain hands-on experience in developing programs/curriculum for an innovative nonprofit science museum.
The education department is looking for 1-3 interns to help develop new activities and programming for the TECH Truck, curriculum review, and assisting the team in reimagining birthday parties. An ideal candidate will have strong creative thinking and organizational skills, the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment, and a friendly demeanor. Experience in curriculum and program development is a plus, but is not required. A minimum of 60 hours must be committed to complete this internship.
