ODOT Graduate Program - Survey Analyst

Graduating soon? Apply now for our popular ODOT Graduate Program!

The role:

The ODOT Graduate Program is designed for recent college graduates to transition from student to full-time professionals. For up to 24 months, participants are provided rotational assignments throughout various disciplines. Participants are recognized as full-time employees, receiving a salary, a full benefits package, and mentorship from a registered professional land surveyor (PLS). This can provide up to two years qualifying time toward obtaining PLS licensure.

Ideal candidates will have recently passed (or be prepared to take and pass) the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam. Program training is provided through rotational assignments in areas such as field survey, mapping and modeling, cadastral surveying, and construction survey for up to two years. The program is open to all qualified applicants including current, qualified ODOT employees.

We are seeking a survey analyst to join us in Portland. You will utilize the latest technology to lead field crews, analyze field-collected and remote sensing data for digital modeling and mapping, perform right of way retracements and boundary surveys, and provide construction support. Here at ODOT, our surveyors blend history and technology by researching and retracing early road records, discovering monuments set during Oregon’s early history, computing right of way lines and working with the latest mobile and static scanners and software.

Applications will be considered from those who have graduated or are scheduled to graduate by June 2021.

What we need:
·        A bachelor's degree in civil or transportation-related engineering (or expected graduation before June 2021).
OR
A Fundamentals of Surveying certificate (FS).
·        A valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
