Workstations Tech Marketing Engineer

HP Workstations is looking for a talented and energetic engineer to join the Workstations Technical Marketing team.   In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest and greatest technology supporting our newest workstation products.  The role of a Technical Marketing Engineer is multi-faceted, and works with nearly all of the different functions within HP including R&D, Marketing, Sales, and often directly with our customers. Engineers on this team do a mix of activities working with our application providers, working with our component partners, analyzing application performance, supporting our field teams, developing deep expertise in various topics impacting our Workstation products in how they perform, and become a knowledge base for key applications and technical tends used by our customers providing feedback to key component suppliers such as CPU, GPU, and storage devices.
  • Responsibilities can include:
  • Representing HP at various events
  • Tool development
  • Performance analysis and benchmarking
  • Technical liaison for key ISV partners
  • Supporting the technical sales teams

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Designing software systems running on multiple platform types.
  • Software systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
