Brief summary of the position specific to Tillamook:

This position provides professional assistance/support to the Silviculture and Timber programs by gathering a variety of resource information used to prepare Resource Management Planning documents and other planning and environmental clearance documents, as well as researching and drafting segments of those documents and making limited recommendations relative to management practices. The employee plans and conducts forest inventories, forest plantings, forest insect and disease control, and forest stand inventory. Recognizes variations in timber stand conditions such as species composition, age classes, and silvicultural treatments in order to develop management prescriptions and may be assigned to oversee the work of lower graded employees.
