Missionary Pilot/Mechanics

To safely carry out flight and/or maintenance operations and other related duties, as an essential part of the work of MAF so that the Gospel is proclaimed, and isolated people are physically and spiritually transformed.

MAF pilot-mechanics are located in overseas MAF programs. Multiple international locations.

Job Responsibilities: Maintenance of aircraft; transportation by aircraft (effective, efficient, and independent pilot)

Qualifications:
- Faith-related:
o  Committed relationship with Jesus Christ
o  Active in a local church or ministry for two years
o  12 hours of college-level Bible courses (or equivalent training)
o  Willing to participate in Ministry Partnership for support raising
-  Job-related:
o  FAA commercial license with instrument rating
o  FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanics certificate (if no certificate, additional requirements are found at this link: https://www.maf.org/serve/serve-overseas/aviation)
o  Min. 400 flight hours on fixed-wing aircraft
o  50 hours in high performance aircraft time
o  Current Second-Class FAA Medical certificate
o  Thorough and effective technical communication skills and organizational abilities
- Cross-cultural:
o  Willing to adapt to another culture
