Temporary, Paid 10-Week Summer Internship
Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Location: On-site – Franklin, Tennessee

Reports To: Sr. Director of Spiritual Health and Development


Position Summary:
The Prayer Engagement Intern will support the Pastoral Care team by assisting with initiatives that strengthen prayer engagement and enhance ministry impact. This internship offers hands-on experience in strategic planning, team collaboration, and servant leadership within a high-impact ministry environment. Interns will participate in projects such as the Serve Day, Prayer 5-5-5, and Connection Groups while learning the full cycle of planning and execution for ministry initiatives. The internship culminates in a capstone project focused on assessing and improving cultural prayer engagement.

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with planning and executing the Serve Day, Prayer 5-5-5, and Connection Group initiatives. 

· Support prayer engagement efforts during Air1 Pledge Drive. 

· Participate in Team Prayer times and contribute to strategies that enhance prayer culture. 

· Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and strengthen cross-departmental relationships. 

· Learn and apply principles of servant leadership in a ministry setting. 

· Complete a capstone project analyzing current prayer engagement practices and recommending improvements.

Required Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related field (Ministry, Theology, Communication, Leadership, etc.). 

· Strong organizational and communication skills. 

· Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN for the full internship period. 

· Interest in ministry, prayer engagement, and leadership development.



Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in ministry or volunteer leadership roles. 

· Familiarity with event planning or group coordination. 

· Ability to think strategically and contribute creative ideas for engagement initiatives.



Additional Information:
This internship provides exposure to ministry operations, strategic planning, and spiritual care practices. Interns will gain valuable experience in servant leadership, team dynamics, and prayer engagement strategies while contributing to projects that impact listeners and staff. Consideration for future employment may be based on performance and organizational needs.
