Bookkeeper Staff Accountant
Haversham & Baker Expeditions, the leading provider of international golf travel, is seeking an experienced bookkeeper / staff accountant to serve as a key steward of the company’s financial operations and overall fiscal health.
This role encompasses bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and tax compliance responsibilities. The successful candidate will bring both precision and perspective to the role — maintaining accurate records, supporting leadership with clear financial insights, and helping ensure that the business continues to operate with integrity and confidence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and bookkeeping, excellent analytical skills, and an appreciation for the level of service and attention to detail that defines the H&B experience.
Key Responsibilities:
● Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, maintain, and analyze various financial statements offering an accurate overview of the company's financial position.
● Bookkeeping: Accurately record financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and reconcile accounts to provide clean and up-to-date financial records.
● Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and maintain budgets, ensuring expenses are within the set guidelines and forecasting future financial needs.
● Payroll Management: Process employee payroll and deductions, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
● Accounts Payable and Receivable: Coordinate as needed with Sales & Operations to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
● Financial Software Implementation & Management: Assist with onboarding a new financial management platform and utilize the program to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field / Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
● Relevant accounting certifications preferred.
● Minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in a small business environment.
● Proficiency with accounting software and tools (Acumatica experience a plus).
● Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
● Work effectively and professionally with our entire team, including sales, marketing, and operations, in pursuit of our organizational goals.
● Comfortable working with and on behalf of high-end clientele.
● Knowledge of the travel industry or passion for golf is a plus.
